Pineapple juice for the thickener. Cornstarch and 2 tbls. Add water vinegar pineapple juice ketchup and sugar into a pan. Add in garlic and a small pinch cayenne pepper. Great sauce i did add ginger cut the white sugar in half and added brown sugar used a third of acv and replaced the rest with distilled a drop of lime juice used pineapple chunks some cut up bell pepper and scallions because i used this sauce for sweet n sour meatballs.
Dissolve cornflour in 1 tablespoon water and add to pan. Used a quarter cup sugar and about a tablespoon of sweet chili sauce and increased soy to about a tablespoon and a half. Stir for 2 minutes. Can pineapple chunks drained. This super easy and quick sweet and sour sauce is nice served with chicken pork or meatballs.

Wanted to be able to spoon this over chicken kabobs so only used 2 tbls. Continuously stirring bring all ingredients to the boil then turn down to simmer and add pineapple before stirring for another 2 minutes.
