Using a large wooden spoon fold in the mashed ripe banana and chopped dates into the cake batter. Cream butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Cream the margarine and sugar with a wooden spoon. Beat the soft butter sugar and bananas well. Add eggs one by one vanilla essence and cinnamon.
Add the dry ingredients and add the milk mixture. Mash the bananas with a fork and add to the mixture with the vanilla essence. Beat together the butter and sugar until creamy. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the butter sugar egg mix. Bake at 180 degrees celsius in a preheated oven for approximately 50 55 minutes in a loaf tin until fully cooked through.
Slowly begin adding the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while using the hand mixer on the lowest setting. Divide the batter into 2 or 3 medium size bread baking. I gobbled up half of this loaf in a few minutes because it was just so good especially when it comes straight out the oven. It is best to use ripe bananas for this recipe. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
