The addition of root beer gives these ribs a slight vanilla molasses infusion which is all the more enhanced with a sticky spicy barbecue sauce. There may be some root beer remaining sprinkle ribs with salt. Cover crock pot with lid and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours or until done. Root beer glazed ribs achieve that perfect balance between sweet and salty. Pour remaining root beer over ribs to cover completely.

Place the ribs back inside along with the barbecue sauce. In my experience barbecue sauce is best added after the ribs are mostly cooked. Once the grill is hot place the ribs on the grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes until they are charred and slightly crisp on the outsides basting and rubbing the juices bbq sauce mixture on top. I love to serve these ribs with corn on the cob and my southern potato salad and a thick pile of napkins of course. Stir in 3 tablespoons root beer barbecue sauce. Be sure to coat ribs in the sauce.
